Dental FAQs
How often should I visit Smile Refined Family Dentistry?
We encourage patients to visit our office at least two times each year in order to allow us to diagnose and treat oral health issues in their earliest stages. In fact, these regular dental checkups allow us to prevent most common oral health concerns, allowing patients to keep their smiles whole and healthy for life.
Does Dr. Sinha treat children?
Absolutely. As a family dentistry practice, our office welcomes patients at any age or stage of dental development. We offer a number of children’s dentistry services that help your kids develop and maintain healthy smiles they can keep for a lifetime.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease is commonly referred to as gum disease. This common oral health condition effects millions of US adult each year, and without proper treatment in the early stages, periodontal disease can be extremely detrimental to oral health. Gum disease occurs when plaque and tartar buildup at the gum line irritates and destroys soft tissue. We offer a variety of treatment options to improve your oral health, following gum disease.
Can I call you if I have a dental emergency?
We are happy to help patients whenever they need us most. This includes providing same day emergency dentistry appointments whenever possible. If we’re unable to see you on the day you call our office, one of our knowledgeable team members will walk you through at-home care techniques over the phone.
What if I get nervous at the dentist?
Our team works hard to make patients feel welcome and at ease during their oral health care in our Fort Worth practice, but we understand that some patients need extra help relaxing in our office. That’s where nitrous oxide sedation comes in. By inhaling this gas through the nose, patients are able to experience complete relaxation throughout their care, and because the sedative effects wear off quickly, patients are able to resume their daily activities right away following treatment.
How do you use intraoral photography?
We capture images of your smile using intraoral cameras, and we use these photos as part of the treatment planning process in order to make you feel more like a partner in your ongoing oral health care. Intraoral photography allows you to see your smile from the dentist’s perspective, so you can better understand your oral health concerns and treatment options.
Do you take my insurance?
We are happy to process and file insurance claims for most major dental insurance providers, and we are in-network with many of the major benefit plans. Additionally, we work with CareCredit to provide low and no interest payment plans whenever possible, and we also offer an in-office dental savings plan to make your necessary dentistry services more affordable.
