Dr. Sinha is an in-network provider with Delta Dental. This means that if you are a Delta Dental subscriber, Dr. Sinha is able to offer you a number of preventive and restorative procedures at reduced rates. She has negotiated pre-set fees for these services. So once you’ve satisfied your deductible and paid the coinsurance charge at the time of your appointment, you cannot receive another bill from us.
Plans from Delta Dental
Delta Dental has a few benefits plans, each one slightly different from the others. The plans include:
- Delta Dental PPO
- Delta Dental Premier
- DeltaCare USA
After visiting our office, there are no forms for you to fill out with any of the Delta Dental plans. We submit claims to Delta Dental. In addition, Delta Dental pays your Keller dentist directly so you don’t have to pay and wait for a reimbursement check.
Delta Dental Insurance Basics
Understanding your dental coverage in part depends on understanding the language used in your policy. Here are some common terms:
Annual Maximum. This is the maximum dollar amount your Delta Dental benefit plan will pay toward the cost of dental care within a specific benefit period, usually a calendar year.
Benefit Period. This is the time period within which your dental benefits are calculated. A benefit period usually runs from January 1st through December 31st.
Coinsurance. This is the portion of the cost of your dental treatment that you are required to pay. Most dental plans pay a pre-determined percentage of the cost, and you pay your coinsurance amount even after your deductible is reached.
Deductible. The specific dollar amount that you must pay annually before your Delta Dental plan begins to pay for your expenses.
Limitations or Exclusions. Most dental plans do not cover every aspect of dental care, Rather, there are some limitations and exclusions related to the type of procedure (cosmetic dentistry is typically not covered), number of visits or age limits.
Predetermination of Benefits. For more extensive treatments, you can ask Keller family dentist Dr. Sinha to request a cost estimate from Delta Dental. This pre-treatment estimate will let you know in advance what procedures are covered and how much you will have to pay towards the treatment.
